Sweden’s most multifaceted chamber ensemble, Vindla String Quartet was formed in 2008 in Malmö, in the very south of Sweden. The quartet has always been guided by curiosity and an openness to different genres and means of expression. Vindla has cooperated with numerous pop, jazz and folk musicians from all over the world and is considered to be one of Sweden’s most interesting chamber music ensembles. In concert, they combine the traditional repertoire with that of modern composers and their own compositions.

Vindla strive to continuously reinvent the string quartet and perform chamber music in places and contexts in which it is not usually found. Among their many collaborations can be found artists such as Tingsek, Linnea Henriksson and Ramy Essam, indian violinist Jyotsna Srikanth, jazz musician Lina Nyberg and key fiddle virtuoso Emilia Amper.
